The main goal of this project is to create audio-visual records and official documents that help to preserve the native American territory of an ethnic group called Yuhupdeh in the Amazon rainforest, who recently has their lands threatened by large mining companies.
Until Next Spring will be a book documenting the struggles that indigenous people in Alto do Rio Negro face in order to preserve their own territory. The narrative focuses on the Yuhupdeh people whose ethnicity has been classified as "recently contacted" by FUNAI ( Fundação Nacional do Índio ). The Yuhupdeh are a nomadic group inhabiting the interior of the Amazon forest with communities forming near the banks of small streams. Due to geographical reasons, they occupy the lowest rank in the hierarchy of the people of the Alto do Rio Negro and are experiencing integration difficulties in urban territory.

We started a new international campaign
My last few months have been very busy. Only now I can apply the attention that this project require. Seems fair extend a bit the campaign deadline ( 30/09/2017 ) until I be able to create and engage a international community around this subject. I also did several improvements on our website and our magazine. I hope you enjoy!
